In an effort to improve service and efficiency, the Port of Brownsville is using Bidnet Direct’s Texas Purchasing Group for soliciting bids and quotes from vendors. This system provides convenient online access to all formal and informal bid opportunities from the Port of Brownsville. Vendors can register HERE to participate in future bid opportunities from the port. There is no charge to register, simply follow the registration path and select the "Limited Access" option. If you are already registered as a vendor to the Texas Purchasing Group from another local agency, you do not need to register again.

The Port of Brownsville will not be able to provide notice of addenda to the specifications to those bidders who download any bids/RFP/RFQ from this page and have not registered. It will be the responsibility of bidders who have not made their participation known to the Port of Brownsville to verify that they have received all addenda. All addenda will be posted here on the day that they are issued to all other bidders known to the Port of Brownsville to be participating in the bid.

Harbormaster's Office Building Generator Installation
Notice is hereby given that bids will be received by the Brownsville Navigation District (“BND”)
of Cameron County, Texas for the “HARBORMASTER’S OFFICE BUILDING
GENERATOR INSTALLATION” project at the Port of Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas.
Bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope labeled with the project name to BND at 1000 Foust
Road, Brownsville, Texas 78521 no later than 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, addressed
to Mr. Zeus Yañez, BND Finance Director. Bids will be calculated on a Unit Price basis and must
comply with the requirements set out in the Bid Document, which may be obtained from Mr. Ariel
Chávez II, PE/RPLS, Director of Engineering Services at achavez@portofbrownsville.com, at
(956) 831-4592, or at www.portofbrownsville.com. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the
highest bid amount is required as specified in the Bid Document. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Virtual
Conference will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. The link will be made available to
interested bidders who submit the Intent to Bid Form, which can be retrieved from the Port of
Brownsville website.
