Esteban “Steve” Guerra was elected to the Brownsville Navigation Board in May 2018, and brings an international perspective and vast business experience to the commission. A local entrepreneur, he has an extensive background which includes trucking, marketing consulting, restaurant and hotel ownership, and diverse real estate holdings in both the United States and Mexico.
Mr. Guerra attended the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, from 2000-2005, and focused his studies on international business. He has received numerous recognitions for his exemplary charitable and business contributions from Mexican chambers of commerce and was most recently named as liaison to South and Central America to promote business and commerce. Mr. Guerra’s goal is to work diligently with his fellow commissioners and BND staff to help bring a new era of prosperity to the region.
He and his wife, Krystal, reside in Brownsville and are the parents of three beautiful girls: Andrea Sofia, Daniela and Natalia.
